The South Korean carmaker has unveiled the updated 2023 Kia Seltos Facelift in India today. The popular mid-size SUV will be available for bookings from July 14, 2023 and the prices will be announced later this year. The Kia Seltos was the first-ever product launched by the automaker in India in August 2019 and has turned 4 on the day the new car is being unveiled in India. As a token of appreciation for the current Kia Seltos owners, the deliveries will be prioritized basis a K Code, that can be generated using the Kia app. The Kia Seltos facelift comes with a host of changes, including dual connected screen, panoramic sunroof, new paint options among other things, to withstand the fierce competition in the mid-size SUV space. 

2023 Kia Seltos Facelift: Design

The 2023 Kia Seltos Facelift includes a larger radiator grille with an all-new bumper up front. With a muscular and sportier look, the crown jewel LED Headlamps and LED Connected tail lamps are powered by the Kia Signature Star map lighting concept. Around the sides, changes will be limited to new designs for alloy wheels. The tail will feature Carens-inspired tail lamps with a connected treatment.

2023 Kia Seltos Facelift: Cabin

The new Kia Seltos is equipped with many segment-leading features such as Dual Screen Panoramic Display with 26.04 cm Fully Digital Cluster & 26.03 cm HD Touchscreen Navigation, Dual Zone Fully Automatic Air Conditioner, and R18 46.20 cm Crystal Cut Glossy Black Alloy Wheels. Kia has also included the much-awaited Dual Pane Panoramic Sunroof and Electric Parking Brake in the new Seltos, making it the most compelling value proposition.

2023 Kia Seltos comes with an all-new Smartstream G1.5 T-GDi engine with 160 ps and 253 Nm output. It is the most-powerful turbocharged petrol engine in the segment, and gets options of 6-iMT & 7 DCT transmissions. In addition to this turbo engine, the 2023 Kia Seltos continues to be available with the Smartstream G1.5 naturally aspirated petrol engine and the 1.5l CRDi VGT Diesel Engine. Gearbox options in the 2023 Kia Seltos includes 5 transmission options, MT, iMT, IVT, 6AT, and 7DCT. 

2023 Kia Seltos Facelift: Safety

In addition to the ADAS level 2 features, Kia India packs the new Seltos with 15 safety features, called as ‘Robust 15 Standard Safety Pack’ which includes the standard 6 airbags and 3 Point Seat Belts for all the variants. This is complemented by 11 Active Safety features, including ABS (Anti-lock Brake System), BAS (Break force Assist System), All Wheel Disc Brakes, ESC (Electronic Stability Control), and VSM (Vehicle Stability Management), to name a few.

2023 Kia Seltos Facelift: Price & Competition

The Kia Seltos is expected to be priced Rs 10.50 lakh (Ex-showroom) for the base variant, making it immensely competitive in the segment that comprises cars like the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Volkswagen Taigun among many others.
