Aamir Khan, who is currently busy with the shoot of Sitare Zameen Par, has been consistently making headlines and engaging with his fan base. Recently, Khan connected with fans during a live interaction session to promote his latest production, Laapataa Ladies. Amidst the flurry of fan questions, one particular question stood out: a fan suggested that Khan should delve into action-oriented roles akin to Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming film, Pathaan.

In response, Aamir Khan’s wit shone through as he cleverly addressed the suggestion. “Yaar, Shah Rukh bana raha hai na acchi Pathaan jaisi. Main banata hoon Laapataa Ladies. Aap woh dekho,” he quipped. Translated, it roughly means, “Shah Rukh Khan is already making good films like Pathaan. I will make films like Laapataa Ladies. You watch that.”

Laapataa Ladies, which hit screens on March 1, marks Khan’s foray into production once again. Directed by Kiran Rao and co-produced by Aamir Khan Productions and Kindling Productions, the film is presented by Jio Studios. Starring Pratibha Ranta, Sparsh Shrivastava, Nitanshi Goel, and seasoned actor Ravi Kishan, the film has been receiving positive response.

This year, Aamir Khan is slated to headline Sitare Zameen Par, the Hindi remake of the Spanish film Campeones, directed by RS Prasanna. It will release in cinemas during Christmas 2024.
