IND vs AUS: As per Virat Kohli’s wife Anushka Sharma, the legendary batter was sick during his scintillating knock of 186 on Day 4 of India vs Australia 4th Test in Ahmedabad. Following India’s 2-1 series win, captain Rohit Sharma said that Virat wasn’t sick and was only coughing a bit, asserting to ‘not believe what u see on social media’.

“Don’t believe what you see on social media. Don’t think Virat was sick, just that he was coughing a bit,” Rohit said.

Anushka’s Instagram post following her husband’s 186-run knock in Ahmedabad Test left fans worried. “Playing through sickness with this composure. Inspiring me always…,” Anushka wrote on her social media, revealing that the Indian star batter produced one of the best knocks of his career with a sickness.

After end of Day 4’s play, when Axar Patel was asked to provide an update on Virat’s health, the spin all-rounder came up with an interesting reply.

“I don’t know (if Kohli was not keeping well). The way he was running, it didn’t look like he was sick with the way he built that partnership, in this heat and the way he ran… It was good to have that stand with him,” Axar said.

Virat Kohli (186 off 364 balls) fell short of what would’ve been the eighth double ton of his Test career, still, day 4 of India vs Australia 4th Test belonged to him. Virat’s produced an incredible knock of 186 vs Australia on penultimate day of 4th Test to put an end to over a three-year wait for his century in whites. With this, Virat attained his Test career’s 28th ton, his 75th ton overall in international cricket across formats.
