Australian batting star Marnus Labuschagne picked Virat Kohli as his dream batting patner when asked by a fan on social media to reveal who he would like to bat with among the Fab 4. Notably, the Fab 4 in world cricket currently refers to Kohli, Labuschagne’s compatriot Steve Smith, Kane Williamson and Joe Root. While Labuschagne already gets chances to bat with Smith, he chose Kohli when asked to pick between the four modern day great cricketers.
“If you get a chance to bat with one of the fab 4 excluding smudge, who would that be?” a user asked asked Labuschagne on social media. In response, Labuschagne wrote: “Has to be @imVkohli, we’d run heaps of 2s.”

Both Labuschagne and Kohli recently competed against each other as India took on Australia in the four-match Border-Gavaskar Trophy and a three-match ODI series. Both the batters were in pretty good form in the Test series in what were challenging conditions for the batters except for the final Test match in Ahemedabad where the match ended in draw. Kohli finished as the leading run-getter from Team India, ending with 297 runs from 6 innings which included a 186-run knock in the final innings of the series at the Narendra Modi Stadium.
Labuschagne, meanwhile, was the second-highest wicket-taker for Australia as he notched up 244 runs from 8 innings and looked for most part comfortable against the Indian spin attack.
The best batter across both the teams however was Usman Khawaja who finished as the leading run-getter in the series, scoring 333 runs in 7 innings often playing match defining innings throughout the course of the series.
Other than picking Kohli as his dream partner, he also chose Ravichandran Ashwin as the best spinner he has ever faced. Ashwin along with Ravindra Jadeja finished were declared the joint winners of the Player of the Tournament award with the off-spinner finishing as the highest wicket-taker with 25 wickets. Jadeja, in addition, to 22 wickets also scored 135 runs with the bat.
