Cook also tweeted an image in which he is seen eating vada pav with Dixit. He thanked the actor for introducing him to the fast food dish native to Maharashtra.
“Thanks @madhuridixit for introducing me to my very first Vada Pav — it was delicious!,” the CEO said.
Earlier, Dixit had shared a picture of herself eating Vada Pav with Cook on on the micro-blogging platform. “Can’t think of a better welcome to Mumbai than Vada Pav!” she said in the tweet.
Apple’s 25 years in India
This week Apple celebrates more than 25 years in India and is marking a major expansion with the opening of its first Apple Store locations in the country.

India has such a beautiful culture and an incredible energy, and we’re excited to build on our long-standing history — supporting our customers, investing in local communities, and working together to build a better future with innovations that serve humanity,” said Cook.
Apple’s first two retail stores in India will open this week in Mumbai and Delhi on April 18 and April 20, respectively.
Apple Stores in India
Apple previewed Apple BKC, the first Apple Store in India, on Monday (April 17). Located in Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex, Apple BKC will have more than 100 team members who collectively speak over 20 languages.
“Hello, Mumbai! We can’t wait to welcome our customers to the new Apple BKC tomorrow,” Cook tweeted earlier in the day.
Apple BKC features a triangular handcrafted timber ceiling, parts of which were assembled in Delhi, and two stone walls sourced from Rajasthan.
