Days after restricting the number of tweets that can be read by unverified users, Twitter has issued yet another diktat. This time it is related to TweetDeck, which is a popular dashboard application of the social media platform. It seems like TweetDeck is set to become a paid service, which will be available for verified users only. In a tweet, Twitter said that it is bringing a whole new set of features with a caveat — “in 30 days, users must be Verified to access TweetDeck.” This means that users will have to pay for Twitter Blue to get verified account status.
New features coming to TweetDeck
According to Twitter, new TweetDeck “offers enhanced functionality and incorporates more of what you see on twitter.com.” New features include a full Tweet Composer, Advanced search features, and new column types. “We’re also introducing Decks—a new way to group columns into clean workspaces,” said Twitter in a blog post.
Twitter has confirmed that the new TweetDeck is now available and users can continue to access their saved searches & workflows by selecting “Try the new TweetDeck” in the bottom left menu.
