What Musk said
Zuckerberg’s reply came soon after Musk posted that “the fight will be managed by my and Zuck’s foundations (not UFC).”
“Livestream will be on this platform and Meta.Everything in [the] camera frame will be ancient Rome, so nothing modern at all. I spoke to the PM of Italy and [the] Minister of Culture. They have agreed on an epic location,” he said, purportedly referring to the reports ofColosseum hosting their fight.
Zuckerberg ‘not holding breath for Elon’
Zuckerberg posted on Threads that he loves this sport and if there’s a date, people will hear from him.
“I love this sport and I’ve been ready to fight since the day Elon challenged me. If he ever agrees on an actual date, you’ll hear it from me. Until then, please assume anything he says has not been agreed on,” he said.
“Not holding my breath for Elon, but I’ll share details on my next fight when I’m ready. When I compete, I want to do it in a way that puts a spotlight on the elite athletes at the top of the game,” Zuckerberg noted.
“You do that by working with professional orgs like the UFC or ONE to pull this off well and create a great card,” he added, and shared a photo from ‘Friday Morning Fights’ in his backyard octagon.
X CEO has ‘objections’
Recently, X CEO Linda Yaccarino said she has objections to the fight and Musk is training for it.
“We’ll see if that cage match really does happen. I’ve had a front row seat of witnessing that,” Yaccarino added. The CEO also noted that a potential fight would be a “great brand sponsorship opportunity.”
Probably, this is the reason why Musk is hyping up the fight – to bring advertising on the platform.
