Joining the foldable club is none other than OnePlus as it officially launched its first foldable smartphone – the OnePlus Open – at a global event in Mumbai. The company had been teasing the device for weeks, and it has finally arrived, adding a new contender to the foldable segment of smartphones.
OnePlus Open pricing and availability
The OnePlus Open will be available for purchase in India and globally starting on October 27, 2023. The phone will be sold via OnePlus online store, Amazon and Reliance Digital. OnePlus Open will also be made available at select retail outlets. The device is priced at Rs 1,39,999 and will be available in a single variant — 16GB RAM and 512GB of storage.
OnePlus is also offering an exchange bonus of up to Rs 8,000 on select smartphones. JioPlus users get benefits of up to Rs 15,000.

The OnePlus Open comes with a foldable display that measures 7.8 inches when unfolded and 6.3 inches when folded. The device has a metal frame and a glass back, and it is available in two colours: Voyager Black and Emerald Dusk. The black colour variant has a faux leather finish whereas the green one features a matte frost glass.
OnePlus has retained the alert slider on the side frame of the OnePlus Open.
The OnePlus Open features an AMOLED display with a resolution of 2800 x 2208 pixels and an adaptive refresh rate of 120Hz. The display is also HDR10+ certified, and it supports a wide colour gamut. Both displays offer 2,800 nits of brightness.
The first foldable smartphone from OnePlus is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, which is found in almost all premium Android phones. The foldable phone runs OxygenOS 13, which has been tweaked for the foldable experience.
The OnePlus Open has a triple-lens rear camera system with a 48MP main sensor, a 48MP ultra wide sensor, and a 64MP telephoto sensor. The device also has a 32MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls and 20MP camera on the inner display. OnePlus has continued its Hasselblad partnership for cameras with the OnePlus Open.
