National Award winners Alia Bhatt and Kriti Sanon among others attended the award ceremony in New Delhi dressed in cream sarees. Alia’s outfit was particularly noteworthy. The Best Actress winner, who shared the honour with Kriti, chose to wear her wedding saree to accept the National Award from President Droupadi Murmu at Delhi’s Vigyan Bhawan. Alia was accompanied by her husband, Ranbir Kapoor who looked dapper in black. The couple was seen departing from Mumbai on Tuesday morning.

During the award ceremony, a heartwarming moment was captured as Alia Bhatt stepped onto the stage to receive her award. Her adoring husband, Ranbir, was photographed taking pictures of her as she received the award from President Droupadi Murmu. This gesture added an extra layer of sweetness to their special day.

On the film front, Alia Bhatt was recently seen in Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani alongside Ranveer Singh, Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi. The film released in theatres on July 28, 2023, and received rave reviews from critics. She was also seen in her Hollywood debut Heart of Stone. In her pipeline, she has director Farhan Akhtar’s Jee Le Zaraa with Katrina Kaif and Priyanka Chopra.

Ranbir Kapoor was last seen in Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar alongside Shraddha Kapoor. The film was directed by Luv Ranjan, produced by Luv Films’, Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg, and presented by T- Series’ Bhushan Kumar. TJMM received rave reviews and did well at the box office. Ranbir also has Animal in the pipeline alongside Rashmika Mandanna. Helmed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the film also features Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, and Triptii Dimri.
