Australia beat Netherlands by 309 runs to claim the largest-ever win in World Cup history. While Australia won the toss and elected to bat first at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, they posted 399/8 in their 50 overs propelled by Glenn Maxwell and David Warner’s tons. Maxwell broke the record of the fastest World Cup ton reaching the three-figure mark in 40 balls to overshadow even Warner’s hundred who scored 104 off 93 balls. Australia were clinical with the ball in hand as well, bowling out the Dutch for 90 in 21 overs to complete a mauling of their opposition.
