According to a report by Engadget, users will soon be able to enter the uniquely strange world of Death Stranding on Apple devices.This is one of the titles that the company promised will arrive on its devices during the iPhone 15 launch event in September 2023.
Apart from Death Stranding, Resident Evil Village, this year’s Resident Evil 4 remake and the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Mirage are also set to arrive for Apple devices. Apple also confirmed that the upcoming console-level Assassin’s Creed will be the first one in the franchise to be available natively on iPhone.
Death Stranding Director’s Cut on Apple devices: Price and availability
Hideo Kojima‘s walking simulator will be available on iPhone 15 Pro models along with iPads and Macs that come powered by the M-series chips starting January 30. This version of the open-world adventure will be available for $40 on the App Store. However, users who pre-order the game will be able to save up to 50%.
The director’s cut of Death Stranding includes extra content which is not available in the base game. This includes additional locations like an underground factory, expanded story missions and more ways to help Sam Porter Bridge deliver packages. The Director’s Cut version will also include a cargo launcher and a stabiliser to prevent the hero from falling over and losing some gear.
Kojima is not done with the Death Stranding universe. According to an X post shared by users named billbil-kun, a sequel of the game is in the works. Rumors also suggest that more details about the upcoming title is expected to arrive in the next couple of weeks. Apart from the game, Kojima Productions has also teamed up with indie film studio A24 to make a Death Stranding movie.
