As per the reports, the Indian skipper Rohit Sharma has sustained a finger injury ahead of the much-awaited ICC World Test Championship (WTC) final, beginning at the Oval in London on June 7. Rohit sustained a blow on his left thumb while taking part in an optional net session on the eve of the WTC final. According to reports by ANI, after getting hit on his left hand, Rohit got his bandage done. However, he continued to bat for a while but then later on he dis stop batting. He removed the bandage later on.
Earlier, the India skipper missed out on playing the rescheduled fifth Test against England in 2022 due to COVID-19 and then he was down with a thumb injury during the tour of Bangladesh. If at all he misses out on playing WTC final 2023 against Australia, players like Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli, and Ajinkya Rahane can give their services as skippers for team India.
Social media started buzzing after they saw Rohit wrapping a bandage on his finger.

Talking about Rohit’s batting, he had a century in his kitty that came against Australia in the opening Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, helping his team to a 2-1 win. Rohit’s red ball form has been impressive as he made 650 runs in 11 Tests against Australia, including a ton and three half-centuries. The 36-year-old has collected 466 runs in six Tests at an average of 42.36 in England and therefore India will not want to miss Rohit’s services.
Rohit also would be looking to make the most out of the WTC final since he had below-average IPL 2023 he could only make 332 runs in 16 games for Mumbai Indians, including a couple of half-centuries.
