How to use tap controls on Amazon Echo Buds to start playlists
Users can launch playlists on Amazon Echo Buds (3rd gen) via a triple tap or a single long press after installing the latest update. However, these gestures can be adjusted via the settings in the associated Alexa app.
The feature works with all of the major streaming platforms. Amazon has also confirmed that Echo Buds users can access their “preferred audio provider” to find the playlist. To access this feature, users need to navigate to the “Tap Controls” option in the Echo Buds device settings.
Other features coming to Amazon Echo Buds
With the latest update, Echo Buds users also get a new audio personalisation tool that will allow them to customise the sound to better integrate with their physical environment and the content they’re consuming.
For example, users can adjust the frequencies to make the bass more prominent and provide better audio during a walk. The company has also listed other examples where this feature comes in handy. This includes watching movies on a laptop and more. This feature can be helpful for users as all sound sources are not created equally.
To enable this feature, users have to head to the Echo Buds device settings via the Alexa app and select the audio personalisation options. Amazon will also allow users to adjust each earbud separately. This will help the right earbud to be louder or offer a different range of frequencies than the left earbud.
Amazon claims that the setup process will take around four minutes. It’s also important to note that this feature is available for both 2023’s model and 2021’s second-gen Echo Buds.
