Google released the Android 14 beta 2 update last month at Google I/O 2023 followed by the beta 2.1 update recently. Now the tech giant has started rolling out the new Android 14 beta update 3. The latest update brings platform stability which means that the developer APIs and all app-facing behaviors in the operating system have reached their final state and will remain unchanged until the mass market release. This is also the right time for the third party app developers to work and integrate new features to their apps.
The Android 14 Beta 3 update also by default enables font scaling up to 200% in Android to offer enhanced accessibility options for individuals with low vision. Moreover, users have the ability to grant partial access to their media library when prompted by an app requesting visual media permissions, which were introduced in Android 13. Additionally, Android 13 includes updates to core OpenJDK libraries and incorporates security enhancements related to app intents.
List of smartphones compatible with the latest update
You can download the latest Android 14 beta 3 update on Pixel 4a, Pixel 4a 5G, Pixel 5, Pixel 5G, Pixel 6 (6, 6 Pro and 6a) and Pixel 7 series (7, 7 Pro and 7a) smartphones. You can download the update from Android Developer’s website.

Recently, an online leak revealed that Android 14 will bring the Battery health feature to Android devices. Mishal Rahman’s tweets unveiled that Android 14 will introduce a battery health feature. Rahman stated that Android 14 incorporates a new BatteryManager API designed specifically to provide battery health information. This API offers crucial details such as cycle count, charging status, manufacturing date, battery health, and more.
