First glimpse of Delhi store
The barricade for Apple Saket was revealed this morning and features a unique design that takes inspiration from Delhi’s many gates, each signifying a new chapter to the city’s storied past. This will be the second Apple Store in India and opens two days after the first one in Mumbai. “Hello New Delhi. We are getting ready to open the doors to our first store in the capital. We can’t wait to see what colourful creativity you will bring to Apple Saket,” Apple said on its website.
Apple has also created a special wallpaper to download around the Apple Saket store. There’s also a special playlist that has been created around New Delhi and is available on Apple Music.
Rumours had suggested that Apple will open the Delhi store next month. However, Apple has sprung a bit of a surprise and opened two stores almost in tandem.
Mumbai Rising: First “Today at Apple” session
With the Store set to open in less than a week, Apple has announced a special Today at Apple series — “Mumbai Rising” — running from opening day through the summer. The series aims to bring visitors, local artists, and creatives together. The idea behind these sessions is to offer hands-on activities with Apple’s products and services that celebrate the local community and culture in Mumbai.
Today at Apple is an important part of the Apple Store experience and the company regularly holds these sessions across its retail outlets in the world.
