Alongside the iOS 17 developer beta 8, Apple has also rolled out a new beta update for AirPods Pro 2nd-generation. The update was first rolled out to all users by mistake with firmware version 6A5299b but later was pulled back. Now, the same update has been rolled out in beta version, reports 9to5Mac.
Changelog is unknown
Like every firmware update for AirPods, this one also does not have any specific changelog published on the official support page. The company, as of now, hasn’t updated the support page indicating changes that the latest beta firmware brings.
Changes coming to AirPods Pro as a part of iOS17
Apple has already announced several changes and updates for AirPods Pro with the upcoming iOS17 operating system. This includes a total of five features: Adaptive Audio, Conversation Awareness, Click to Mute/Unmute, Improved Automatic Switching and Personalised Volume.
In order to enable these features, Apple will require a final firmware update to AirPods Pro.
The new firmware appears to be rolling out only for AirPods Pro as per the report.
Apple has confirmed iPhone launch event date
All the new operating systems — iOS 17, iPadOS 17, macOS Sonoma, are set to roll out soon after the iPhone launch event that’s scheduled for September 12.
During the event, Apple is expected to launch the next-generation iPhones. This includes iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro Max and iPhone 15 Pro. The iPhone 15 Pro Max is rumoured to feature a periscope camera. The iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max are expected to be powered by the A17 Bionic processor. While the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are expected to be powered by A16 Bionic processor.
