NEW DELHI: Arshdeep Singh entered his name into the record books by becoming the fastest Indian pacer to take 50 wickets in T20 Internationals. The left-arm pacer achieved the milestone during the second T20I against Ireland on Sunday.
Arshdeep removed Ireland opener Andy Balbirnie to get to the landmark in his 33rd innings in the shortest format. He returned figures of 1/29 in 4 overs.
Arshdeep is the second fastest overall among Indian bowlers after spinner Kuldeep Yadav (30 T20Is), who recently accomplished the feat in the T20I series against the West Indies.

South African pacer Lungi Ngidi sits atop the list among the top 10 teams in the format as he completed his 50 T20I wickets in just 32 innings.
Arshdeep shares the second spot with Bangladesh’s left-arm quick Mustafizur Rahman with both pacers getting to the milestone in their 33rd innings.
Australian pacer Josh Hazlewood (34 innings) features third on the list followed by legendary South African pacer Dale Steyn (35 innings).
