In the 41st game of the ongoing IPL 2023 where Chennai Super Kings and Punjab Kings locked horns against each other at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, where fans witnessed a nail-biting thriller between Punjab Kings and Chennai Super Kings and Shikhar Dhawan’s team sealed the victory on the last ball of the innings.

It was Prabhsimran Singh who played a terrific knick of 42 runs in just 24 balls alongside Liam Livingstone who also played a quickfire innings of 40 runs in just 24 balls, helping Punjab defeat Chennai by four wickets.

Earlier, CSK won the toss and batted first, and soon CSK openers proved it the right decision as both started very well by adding  86 runs in 58 balls for the first wicket. While Gaikwad got out eventually, Conway kept punishing Punjab’s bowlers and smashed 92 *runs with the help of 16 fours and 1 six. Dube also made 28 runs in 17 balls by hitting 1 four and 2 sixes, helping his team to put in a massive total of 200 runs.

For Punjab, Arshdeep Singh, Rahul Chahar, Sam Curran, and Sikandar Raza got a wicket each. However, Sam Curran was the most expensive bowler as he leaked 46 runs in four overs. Tushar Deshpande was the star with the ball for Chennai as he scalped three wickets while veteran spinner Ravindra Jadeja took 2 wickets.

The match went on to the last over where Pathirana had to defend nine runs off the last over. He bowled well but on the last ball of the innings Punjab needed 3 runs, Raza hit it towards backward square leg and scored the winning runs.
