Delhi Capitals will lock horns against Punjab Kings in match number 59 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. Both sides are on the lower half of the points table as of now. While PBKS are at the eighth place with 10 points from 11 matches, DC find themselves languishing at the bottom of the table with 8 points from 11 matches. With both teams set to play just 3 more games including this one, they would want to give themselves the best possible chance of finishing inside the top four.

A defeat here would mean end of the road for Delhi Capitals this season. Even wins in their remaining games will not be enough to help them get to the Playoffs as they would then also have to hope for other results in their favour. The situation can still well be in their own hands for PBKS who need to win by big margins to help them improve their net run rate which is currently the third worst on the table.

However, both teams would be well aware that when the actual action commences, it’s about who plays the better brand of cricket on that particular day that actually goes on to win the contest.
