Delhi Capitals skipper Rishabh Pant is all set to be part of the IPL 2024 auction as he arrived in Dubai for the event on December 18.
Pant has made a remarkable recovery following a severe car accident in December 2022. The accident resulted in all three key ligaments in his right knee being torn, sidelining him from cricket for the entirety of 2023. However, Pant’s resilience shone through as he underwent successful reconstructive surgery on the damaged ligaments and committed himself to an intensive rehabilitation program at the BCCI’s National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru.

His unwavering dedication to his recovery has paid off, as Pant provided a significant update to his fans and followers, indicating that he is on the path to returning to the cricket field. Sourav Ganguly, the director of cricket for Delhi Capitals, had revealed earlier Pant is expected to lead the side during the upcoming IPL 2024 season.
DC has now revealed that the Indian wicketkeeper is in Dubai at the moment as they prepare of the IPL Auction 2024. Pant himself revealed that he would be at the auction table as he aims to get the right players for the side.
“I came for the auction because, you know, sometimes you want to explain it to people, the kind of player you want, and I feel if I’m able to do that I think most of the part is clear because playing also plays a part. But at the same time, if you can get the players whatever you want for the team, that would be the best thing,” said Pant.
Delhi Capitals eye revamp
The Delhi Capitals will enter the auction with a kitty of Rs. 28.95 crore and had released a total of 11 players before the auction. They have a total of nine slots remaining to fill with four of them being overseas.
