Stuart Broad made a hilarious remark after England announced their Test squad for the upcoming tour of India.

Broad announced his retirement from all forms of the game following the conclusion of the 2023 Ashes series.

Broad’s impact on the sport was profound; he was part of the England team that won the 2010 ICC T20 World Cup and was recognised as one of the greatest Test bowlers.

His career was studded with remarkable achievements, such as taking 8/15 against Australia in the 2015 Ashes series and joining the elite group of bowlers with over 600 Test wickets. Broad’s partnership with James Anderson became legendary, surpassing McGrath and Warne as the top bowling pair in Tests.

On July 29 this year, Broad chose to retire while still at the peak of his game, expressing a desire to finish on a high note. His final moments on the pitch were poetic; he hit a six from the last ball he faced and took a wicket with his final delivery, sealing a win for England. Post-retirement, Broad transitioned to a punditry role with Sky Sports, sharing his expertise and insights on the game he so greatly impacted.

After the test squad announcement was made for the upcoming tour of India, the former pacer made a hilarious comment on his Instagram story. Broad said that he was looking for his name in the list for some time.

“Genuinely spent 5 seconds looking for my name,” said Broad.

England announced a spin-heavy squad for the India tour, with uncapped players Shoaib Bashir, Tom Hartley and Gus Atkinson being amongst the players.
