Hotstar Specials’ Koffee with Karan has made its comeback, and the filmmaker-host Karan Johar promises a season filled with candid and exciting conversations with celebrities. Airing exclusively on Disney+ Hotstar, new episodes will be released every Thursday, offering viewers an intimate glimpse into the lives of their favourite stars.
EXCLUSIVE: Koffee With Karan 8: Sunny Deol speaks on Dharmendra’s kissing scene in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani; says, “My dad can do whatever he likes and he gets away with it”
The eighth season of the show has already gained immense popularity. The latest episode features the dynamic Deol brothers, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol, who are set to grace the famous Koffee couch. The episode promises to bring forth delightful revelations and emotional conversations.
Karan Johar took the opportunity to share a unique behind-the-scenes moment from his show. He mentioned Dharmendra, known as Dharam Ji, and his kiss in the movie Rocky aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. Karan narrated how he initially felt awkward discussing the scene with Dharmendra due to the immense respect and admiration he holds for the senior actor. However, to his surprise, Dharmendra accepted the scene nonchalantly.
Karan recalled, “When I narrated it to him, I was a bit shy and awkward because I felt itne senior hai and I have so much love and respect for him. So, I went to him and said ki yeh situation hai and aap milte hain Shabana Ji se, phir its romantic and it ends and culminates in a kiss. He said, ‘Haan’. I took a breath, and then he said, ‘Haan toh problem kya hai?’ He said, ‘Maine bahot kiya hai.’ He was seamless and the shooting happened, we saw two veteran actors have no problem. It was like we were making too big a deal out of it than them, because they are true artists.”
Talking about the same, Sunny Deol said, “My dad can do whatever he likes, and he gets away with it.”
As Koffee with Karan Season 8 continues to brew, it offers viewers engaging conversations and delightful revelations, exclusively on Disney+ Hotstar.
