NEW DELHI: Royal Challengers Bengaluru find themselves at the bottom of the table with just one win from six matches in the middle of their Indian Premier League 2024 campaign.
Ahead of their upcoming clash against Sunrisers Hyderabad, skipper Faf du Plessis candidly admitted to a prevailing sentiment around the Bengaluru-based franchise.

“I genuinely have a feeling that outside of Mumbai and CSK, if you ask people, they would want RCB to win the IPL.

When I tell my little daughter Zoey that I am going to India, she is like ‘RCB, RCB…'”, remarked du Plessis, highlighting the widespread support for the team.

Despite the spirited performances from Virat Kohli, who leads the Orange Cap table with 319 runs, RCB’s lack of collective effort has hindered their progress.

With playoff hopes hanging by a thread, du Plessis, who scored a refreshing 40-ball 61 against Mumbai Indians in their previous outing, would like other players to step up.
