HonorTech is set to launch its next smartphone, the Honor X9b 5G in India on February 15. The company claims that the upcoming device will introduce “a new era of durability and reliability in smartphones.” HTech has confirmed that the Honor X9b will feature an “ultra-bounce 360-degree anti-drop resistance and cutting-edge cushioning technology.”
Honor X9b will be the first smartphone in the industry to receive a Five-Star Overall Drop Resistance certification from Switzerland’s SGS.The certification defines the smartphone’s readiness for unfavourable scenarios, such as accidental drops and highlights the company’s commitment to deliver reliable and durable devices.

Ultra-Bounce Anti-Drop 360-degree Drop Resistance display: What is it

The Honor X9b will come equipped with the company’s Ultra-Bounce Anti-drop display. A shock-absorbing structure around the phone will provide resistance to drops up to 1.5 metres.

The phone guarantees 360-degree protection to all six faces and four corners, even on hard surfaces like marble. Its three-layer protective structure incorporates partial reinforcement, surrounding buffer and sealing protection. The design also utilises a low-modulus cushioning material with micron-level gaps, absorbing impacts up to 1.2 times.
The phone introduces Ultra-Bounce Technology, providing both drop and splash resistance, validated by a 15-second submersion test and IP53 water and dust resistance certification. The micro-level gap design acts as airbags, deforming and absorbing energy upon impact, transcending environmental factors.

How Honor X9b will prioritise eye comfort

Honor X9b 5G will also introduce features to enhance user well-being. The smartphone will boast a 6.78-inch display that will support a 120Hz variable refresh rate, 1.5K resolution (429PPI), 1.07 billion colours and 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut.
For eye-safety, the smartphone will include features like 1920 Hz PWM Dimming technology with hardware-level low-blue light, Dynamic Dimming and Circadian Night Display support.
