The Indian team dominated most of the sessions of Day 1 of the ongoing second Test against West Indies where Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal scored fifty runs each. However, Windies did make a comeback in the second session by picking crucial wickets at the right moments. Just after the tea, Virat and Jadeja batted and remained unbeaten at the stumps on Day 1. The former India skipper is close to getting another century in red bank format while Jadeja looks solid at the other end.
Skipper Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal came up with brilliant fifties, putting up a 139-run partnership for 1st wicket is now the third-highest opening partnership for visiting duo at Port of Spain, Trinidad. Post winning the first Test match, Rohit Sharma’s men will be looking for a whitewash against West Indies in the second and final match of the series starting Thursday.
This ongoing game also marked the 100th Test between the two teams and India skipper Rohit Sharma said it will be a big event and his team will look to dominate the West Indies like it did in the series opener in Dominica.
