Pucha Varun Raj from Khammam in Telangana, who was stabbed in the head at a gym in Valparaiso, Indiana, in the US on October 29, succumbed to injuries on Tuesday.
Varun was pursuing MS in computers from Valparaiso University, which he had joined last year. His father Pucha Ramurthy is a government school teacher.
The 29-year-old was seated in a massage chair when he was attacked by Jordan Andrade (24), who was later arrested.Andrade told police that he thought Varun was “weird”, and felt threatened by him. The gym management, however, told cops that the Indian was well-behaved.
