Karan Johar’s return as a director after seven years with Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani is garnering praise and the film is doing well at the box office as well. The movie has an ensemble cast of Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi. But apart from these actors, the film also stars well-known Marathi actress and producer Kshitee Jog. She too is being praised for her portrayal of Ranveer’s mother and Jaya Bachchan’s daughter-in-law.

Speaking on what it means to her to star in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, Kshitee said in a statement, “I have worked in Hindi films before and I have enjoyed doing them. But starring in this film is special. My character is being noticed in this movie, which makes me happy. I got a chance to work with two different generations of actors. To be praised by your veteran co-stars and fans is more than winning an award. What else does an artiste need? I enjoyed working with all my co-stars and also learnt a lot. All in all, it was a terrific experience.”
Karan Johar is all praise for Kshiee’s performance in the film. He said, “As I had seen Kshitee perform before, I knew she is a talented actress. So, I was sure that she would give justice to her character. After the film got released, Kshitee is being praised from all quarters. She is an absolute professional and very dedicated in her work. I have seen on the sets the kind of hard work she puts in and that’s why she is able to play any character with perfection.”
Kshitee Jog is married to Marathi actor and filmmaker Hemant Dhome. He directed the successful Marathi film Jhimma (2021) in which Kshitee played an actress and also produced the film. Interestingly, earlier this year, Bollywood Hungama had reported that Karan Johar might remake the film in Hindi if he gets the right cast.
