Test Cricket is the oldest format of the esteemed sport of cricket and for more than a century, it has prdoduced some spectacular and impeccable piece of moments that cricketing fans have cherised over the decades. The format has given us some of the greatest legends from each era, such as Donald Bradman, Sunil Gavaskar, Sachin Tendulkar, Allan Border to name a few and Test cricket isn’t just about batting out for hours and amassing huge runs, but also the sheer pace, precision, wrist spin, that often comes in handy at all sorts of pitches.

Players like Brian Lara, Matthew Hayden have registered huge individual scores, but there are also instances where even 11 playerws combined cannot surpass or touch triple figures, and sometimes…. not even half-a-century mark of runs. Here are the lowest scores ever registered by sides in Test iternational cricket:

1. 26: New Zealand holds the infamous record of registering the lwest ever Test international score in history. They were bundled out by a brilliant England side in Auckland,1955.

2. 30: South Africa comes in second and they too, achieved the unwanted record against England in Port Elizabeth, 1896.

3. 30: South Africa were at it again decades later as they yet again faltered in front of Engalnd in Birmingham, 1924.

4. 35: South Africa’s third appearance on this list also happens to come at the hands of the same opposition, that is England in Cape Town, 1899.

5. 36: South Africa’s fourth and final appearance in the list does not come against England, but rather, their fierce rivals Australia, as Proteas registered the score in Melbourne, 1932.

6. 36: The ever consistent Australia also have had its own share of dismal performances, and they registered the score against England in Birmingham, 1902.

7. 36: India’s highly infamous feat came in one of the most popular and iconic Test series against Australia in Adelaide, 2020.

8. 38: Ireland were introduced to the longest format of international cricket in brutal manner as England dismantled their neigbours at Lords in 2019.

9. 42: New Zealand fell prey to vicious bowling attack of Australia as the Black Caps registered the score in Wellington, 1946

10. 42: Australia and England have shared some iconic moments in the hsitory of cricket and one such was this infamous score of Australia, when they were humbled at home by England in Sydney, 1888.
