Fakhr-e-Alam, the renowned Pakistani sports anchor, invited MS Dhoni to Pakistan after the latter appreciated Pakistani food in a video that’s going viral on social media. In a video, Dhoni can be heard saying, “You should go to Pakistan once for food. It’s amazing.”

Alam, who hosts the ‘Pavilion’ show along with Wasim Akram, Shoaib Malik, Moin Khan, Shoaib Malik and others, extended a heartwarming Invitation to the former Indian captain.

“Bhai @msdhoni dil jeet liya aap nayâ€æ.â€æ..I think you should be in The Pavilion with us not just for the cricket but for the FOOD.”

Dhoni travelled to Pakistan between 2006 and 2008, having played three Tests and 11 ODIs. In three Tests, he scored 179 runs at an average of 59.66 with a top score of 148 in Faisalabad.

In 11 ODIs, Dhoni racked up 546 runs at an average of 136.50 with a top score of an unbeaten 109 in the Asia Cup match against Hong Kong at the National Stadium in Karachi.

Back in the early days of his career, Dhoni used to have long hair. Pervez Musharraf, the former Pakistani president, praised Dhoni’s hairstyle after an ODI at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

“May I congratulate Dhoni on being the architect of the victory. May I tell Dhoni, I saw a placard asking you to get a haircut. If you want to take my opinion, you look good in this haircut. Don’t get a haircut,” Musharraf was quoted as saying.

Dhoni won the Player of the Match award in that game after he scored an unbeaten 72 off 46 balls with 13 fours. Dhoni made sure that India chased down a target of 289 with 14 balls to spare.

Dhoni put on an unbeaten partnership of 102 runs with Yuvraj Singh and took the Men in Blue past the finish line.
