OnePlus has confirmed the launch of its next flagship smartphone – the OnePlus 12. The smartphone is launching on December 4 in Shenzhen, China, and marks the 10th anniversary of the company.
OnePlus 12: What to expect
The OnePlus 12 is said to feature a 6.82-inch X1 “Oriental” LTPO OLED panel with a resolution of 1,440 x 3,168 pixels and a peak brightness of up to 2,600 nits.The new display is said to be jointly developed by theBOE and OnePlus. The smartphone will feature its first-generation imaging engine chip, Display P1.
Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset will power the OnePlus 12, as confirmed by the two companies. This chipset features the Kryo CPU, which has five gold cores and a new 1-5-2 microarchitecture. It offers 30% better performance and 20% improved power efficiency. Additionally, the Adreno GPU provides 25% better performance and power efficiency. The chipset also enables Wi-Fi 7 and dual Bluetooth connectivity with FastConnect 7800.
According to rumours, the smartphone may come with up to 24GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage. It is also expected to have a 5400mAh battery with 100W wired fast charging and 50W wireless fast charging. The smartphone is said to come with 100W charging support. It would run Android 14-based ColorOS 14 in China, while for other markets the smartphone would ship with OxygenOS 14.
The OnePlus 12 is confirmed to come with an upgraded triple camera setup, which will include Sony‘s new 48MP dual-layer stacked Lytia 808 primary sensor and a 1/2.0-inch 64MP OV64B sensor with a telephoto lens capable of providing 3x optical zoom.
