Pakistan: Over 90 people were injured while 2 policemen lost their lives after a suicide attacker blew himself up inside a mosque in Peshawar on Monday.  

The incident took place in Peshawar’s Police Lines area mosque during afternoon prayers, reported Geo News.

The injured have been shifted to the Lady Reading Hospital of Peshawar, Geo News reported.  

Former PM expresses grief over incident

Pakistan’s former Prime Minister Imran Khan took to twitter to express grief over the incident. He said, “Strongly condemn the terrorist suicide attack in police lines mosque Peshawar during prayers. My prayers & condolences go to victims families. It is imperative we improve our intelligence gathering & properly equip our police forces to combat the growing threat of terrorism.”
