Pakistan’s former prime minister Imran Khan has been found guilty of inciting attacks on army bases, including the Lahore Corps Commander House, an anti-terrorism court was told by the public authority investigator on Friday.
Nonetheless, the ATC Lahore expanded Khan’s pre-arrest bail in five terrorism cases till August 8.
“A special prosecutor on Friday told the ATC that a Joint Investigation Team (JIT) of Punjab police completed its probe into the May 9 attacks on military and state buildings and found Imran Khan guilty of abetment and other terrorism charges,” a court official told PTI.
Khan showed up under the watchful eye of the court in the midst of high security. Investigator Farhad Ali Shah said that Khan is at fault for planning the May 9 attacks and his arrest is required for collection of proof, according to PTI.
He said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief had driven a mission and prompted the party laborers against the Military before the May 9 attacks. That impelling prompted the assault on the army bases, he said.
ATC Judge Abher Gul Khan broadened the pre-capture bail of Khan till August 8 and guided the examiner to think of additional contentions on the following hearing.
Following the capture of Imran Khan by para military Officers distress broke out in Pakistan on May 9 that saw burning and vandalising of many military and state structures, including the Army headquarters for Rawalpindi and ISI working in Faisalabad.

Khan denied engineering or prompting the attacks expressing that it was a well-planned conspiracy to expel its party from upcoming polls.
