In a heartwarming gesture, Sanju Samson-led Rajasthan Royals used Sawai Mansingh Stadium’s ground staff and pitch curators to officially unveil their jerseys for the 16th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2023), set to begin this month from March 31. A video was posted by Rajasthan Royals via their official Twitter handle, showcasing people behind the scenes.
For the first time in 3 years, IPL will be played across multiple venues in India, returning to its original away and home format. This means Jaipur’s iconic Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Rajasthan Royals’ home ground, will host an IPL game for the first time since 2019.
“At Royals, we believe that the firsts are very important. So I think this season myself and the while management has decided that we give our first jersey of the season to the groundsmen. And I just wanted to thank them for all the care that they have given us,” Sanju Samson, captain of franchise Rajasthan Royals said in the video.
