Shubman Gill overshadowed Virat Kohli as Gujarat Titans had the last laugh, outplaying Royal Challengers Bangalore by six wickets in their final IPL 2023 league game on Sunday at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. While chasing a target of 198 runs, the Titans completed the chase in 19.1 overs with Shubman Gill scoring the winning maximum. Gill played an unbeaten knock of 104 runs off 52 balls packed with five fours and eight sixes. GT have already sealed a spot for the playoffs and will end the league as table toppers.

When it comes to RCB’s bowling, Mohammed Siraj took two wickets.  Earlier, the match was delayed due to heavy showers at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. But then when it began, Virat Kohli entrained the audience with his free-flowing batting as he scored  101* off 61 balls and powered RCB to 197/5 in 20 overs in a do-die final league game on Sunday. This was Kohli’s seventh IPL hundred.  Skipper Faf also provided a great start to RCB but then he departed after scoring 28 off 19 balls but then Kohli held one end, getting back-to-back centuries this season.

For Gujarat Titans, spinner Noor Ahmad took 2 wickets while Shami, Yash Dayal, and Rashid Khan picked up a wicket each.
