Usually, telecom service providers offer additional data benefits via data add-ons for a small time period as they are meant to offer users more data over the existing data that comes with the base plan. However, Reliance Jio has a data plan that comes with 1 year of validity and also offers additional benefits for the entire validity period.
Here’s everything you need to know about Jio’s 1-year data plan.
Reliance Jio Rs 2,787 data plan: Details
Reliance Jio’s annual data add-on plan costs Rs 2,787 and it comes with 1-year of validity. The data add-on plan comes with 2GB data per day for a complete 365 days. This means, the plan comes with a total of 730GB data.
Once the data quota is exhausted, the speed reduces to 64kbps and the data become unlimited.
That’s pretty much it. The plan does not include any additional data benefit liking calling, SMS, OTT subscriptions, etc.
Do note that to use this plan, users need to get a base plan.
Why this plan may not be for everyone
Depite the fact that the plan offers a good set of benefits, paying Rs 2878 just for 2GB daily data does not make sense. In fact, Jio also has annual plans that are priced similar to this one which come with more than offering just the data benefits. For instance, there’s a 2,999 prepaid plan that includes unlimited data, 100 SMS per day and 1.5GB daily data. Along with this, the plan also offers unlimited 5G data.
The data plan appears to be relatively more expensive compared to other unlimited plans from the telecom service provider.
