Recent reports suggest that cricketer Rishabh Pant is responding well after having undergone a plastic surgery on his left eyebrow post surviving a horrific car crash on December 30. While initial reports suggest he could take 3-6 months to recover, in all likelihood, he will miss the Border-Gavaskar Trophy owing to the injuries.
Notably, Pant was driving from Delhi to Roorkee to surprise his mother for New Year when he met with a near-fatal accident. While he dozed off while sleeping, he was lucky to have been helped by Haryana Roadways Driver Sushil Kumar and conductor Paramjeet who pulled him out of the car minutes before it burned completely.
Apart from injuries on his forehead, he has seriously injures his back and knee. While the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has assured the best medical services for one of their contracted cricketers in Pant, the selection committee have a tough job at their hands to find an apt replacement for the 25-year-old.
