IND vs AUS WTC Final: Rohit Sharma-captained Indian cricket team is squaring off against mighty Australia in the high-octane World Test Championship (WTC 2023) Final at the Oval cricket stadium in London. For the first time in his career, Rohit is captaining the national side in an ICC final. A confident Rohit, looking super ready to take on arch-rivals in a memorable clash, walked out for the toss wearing a blazer. The moment could have gone the other way as the senior opener tripped on the stairs while walking out for the toss. Luckily, Rohit was able to control himself, avoiding a serious fall that could have gotten him injured. Ultimately, Rohit took the field, won the toss and invited Australia to bat first on a green Oval pitch.

“Nazar na lage islie halka thokar khaya,” one Twitter user wrote.

Rohit Sharma achieved a massive milestone as soon as he stepped on the field for IND vs AUS WTC Final. This is Rohit Sharma’s 50th Test match. In Tests, Rohit Sharma has scored 3379 runs in 83 innings of 49 Tests at an average of 45.66, including 8 tons and 6 fifties, with a personal best score of 212.

“We are going to bowl. Just the conditions and also the weather being overcast. I don’t think the pitch will change too much. You have to play good cricket and come out on top. Four seamers and one spinner. The spinner is Jadeja. It’s always tough (to leave Ashwin), he’s been a match-winner for us over the course of so many years. But you got to do the things that’s needed for the team and eventually we came up with that decision. He (Rahane) brings a lot of experience, he’s played 80-odd Test matches and he’s done well for the team. He’s been out for a while but I don’t think the experience that he has can change all of that,” said Rohit after winning the toss.
