Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, who recently delivered a box office hit with Tiger 3, has reignited his passion for multi-starrer films. In a recent interview, Salman spoke about the collaborative spirit of the 90s, where actors like himself, Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, and others frequently came together to create larger-than-life cinematic experiences.
Salman Khan suggests Aamir Khan should join YRF Spy Universe; advocates for multi-starrers
Reminiscing about the 90s, Salman said that there was a time in his career when people would not come to watch his movies. Thus, he decided to star alongside actors like Sunny Deol, Sanjay Dutt, Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Anil Kapoor, and his other contemporaries. He said, “Movies’ collections would double at the box office.”
On the topic of his on-screen camaraderie with Shah Rukh Khan, Salman revealed, “Yes I am Veeru and Shah Rukh is Jai.”
Salman expressed his admiration for the collaborative spirit of the 90s, stating that such collaborations not only benefited the box office but also provided audiences with a diverse array of entertaining films. “The younger generation won’t be able to do it,” he said, referring to the reluctance of contemporary actors to engage in multi-starrer projects.
Looking towards the future, Salman expressed his enthusiasm for the concept of the spy universe, which brings together multiple spy-themed films featuring different actors. He suggested it would be “great if Aamir Khan also joined in” the spy universe.
For the unversed, Tiger franchise, Hrithik Roshan’s War and Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan are part of YRF’s spy universe. Currently, fans are awaiting the release of War 2, which Ayan Mukerji is helming. Meanwhile, a film, titled Tiger vs Pathaan, is also planned.
