Samsung announced One UI 5.1.1 update with the launch of Galaxy Z Fold5 and Galaxy Z Flip5 foldable smartphones. The company has also updated its older smartphones — including non-foldable ones with the latest version of its custom user interface. Now, the update includes several new features, but one that stands out is the ability to copy effects and paste it on other photos in the gallery.
What is this new “Copy effects” feature in Samsung Gallery
The Copy effects feature, as the name implies, enables users to duplicate effects from a single photo onto several others effortlessly. In simple words, it lets you replicate the alterations made to one photo across multiple photos with just one tap.
This isn’t new as we’ve seen this in Photoshop and Lightroom, where the tool lets users apply all the edits made on one photo to all other photos from the library. Similar feature is also available on the iPhone, called Copy edits.
How does this Copy effects feature work
As mentioned, the Copy effects feature allows users to copy and paste edits from one photo to multiple photos. All users are supposed to do is edit one photo and then copy the edits made and then select multiple photos and paste the edits.
How it will make it easier for users to edit photos
The feature works with multiple photos as well. So, all users need to do is edit one photo and then copy the edits made on that photo by tapping the Copy effects option and then select all the other photos on which they want to make the same kind of edits and select Paste effects.
That’s it. All the changes from the first photo will be applied to other selected photos as well.
This not only makes it easier for users to edit all the photos captured in similar scenarios with exact same brightness, contrast, colour, vibrance, etc without editing them one by one. This will save time and also make things look more professional.
