Samsung may launch two new chargers: What to expect
According to a post shared by Roland Quandt on social media platform X claims that the two new Samsung chargers are in development. The post mentions that the first charger is rumoured to be the Samsung Charger Duo 50W, that may feature two USB-C ports for fast wired charging.
Meanwhile, the second charger is believed to be an updated version of the company’s current 45W charger. However, the Galaxy S24 series may not support faster charging speeds.
Samsung may not bundle these new chargers with the Galaxy S24 series phones. However, the new 45W charger is expected to bring improvements over the previous model. Samsung may improve the charger’s performance, heat management and form factor. The company may also offer the new charger at a higher price.
Meanwhile, the base model of the Galaxy S24 is rumoured to support 25W charging and may not be able to take full advantage of the new 45W charger. Just like its predecessors, the Plus and Ultra variants are expected to support 45W
fast charging.
For comparison, the older T4510 supports USB PD 3.0 PDO and PPS. However, the new is not expected to come equipped with USB PD 3.1 as it is primarily concerned with higher power ranges (up to 240W).
