Sonos has expanded its speaker lineup with Era 300 and Era 100 in India. The new Era 300 leverages the new Dolby ATMOS technology. The Era 100, on the other hand, comes with a new design and improved speaker setup.
Sonos Era 300 and Era 100: Price and availability
Sonos Era 300 is priced at Rs 54,999 and the Era 100 is priced at Rs 29,999. The speakers will be available for purchase starting October 20 and the pre-orders are set to start October 15.
Sonos Era 300: Features
Sonos Era 300 features a compact form factor and comes equipped with six speakers including two subwoofers, up firing speakers and multiple speakers at the front. The company claims that the speaker setup allows users to direct sound in all directions to offer an immersive listening experience.
Also, the speakers are also backed by Dolby ATMOS technology for a better surround sound experience.
“Dolby Atmos created a new way for music and audio entertainment to be experienced. Sounds and music come alive with unparalleled clarity and depth,” said Kevin Yeaman, President and CEO of Dolby Laboratories. “Era 300’s sound innovation with Dolby Atmos creates a completely immersive music experience.”
Era 300 is the brand’s first speaker that delivers multi-channel surround sound when used as home theatre rear. Users can pair two speakers with Arc or Beam (Gen 2) to create a Dolby Atmos experience that draws them deeper into the action.
Sonos Era 100: Features
Sonos Era 100 is one of the most compact speakers in the company’s lineup. It now features a stereo speaker setup paired with a bigger subwoofer. The speaker comes with two angled speakers.
Like the Era 300, the Era 100 also supports stereo pairing and allows users to pair two Era 100s as a single unit for a wider soundstage.
Both speakers now have an improved user interface and a new volume slider for simple control. The speakers also support Apple AirPlay 2 and Bluetooth.
The speakers also come with a Wi-Fi Direct connect for connecting to other audio devices like a turntable via AUX port and Sonos’ own Line-in adapter.
