“Two small updates for Threads that are worth mentioning: we’re rolling out a new Reposts tab on your profile so you can see all the threads you reposted in one place. We are also, based on your feedback, adding reposts to your Following Feed,” he said in the post.
Users will be able to see reposts under a new tab. This will help users to see all that they and others have reposted. Also, there will be a reverse chronological feed of all the reposts. Clearly, users had requested these features as Mosseri said they have been introduced based on the feedback Threads had received.
Threads needs to do more
If the numbers are anything — and they are everything — to go by then Threads needs to do a lot more to retain users. While it got off to a splash as user interest was high and people wanted to see what Threads is all about, the numbers don’t make for good reading.
According to Sensor Tower, the average daily user count on Threads is down 82%. On average eight million users are accessing the app every day. At its peak, Threads was averaging 44 million users a day.
It looks like the initial interest has faded away rather quickly and significantly. As per Sensor Tower’s data, the daily average time spent on Threads is just 2.9 minutes per day. Also, the number of sessions is also down to 2.6 per day. Threads had seen an average of 19 minutes on launch day and users opened the app 14 times.
