Vivo is all set to launch its next-generation flagship smartphone — X100 and X100 Pro– today in India. The company has already launched the smartphones globally back in November 2023.
The new handsets from the company come with improved design, latest generation chipset. However, the phones being the X series, the major changes are in the form of camera.
Vivo X100 series to launch today: How to watch live stream
Vivo has confirmed that the X100 series will be launched today (December 4) via a virtual launch event at 12 noon today. And, people can watch the launch stream live on their official YouTube channel.
Vivo will also be posting the live updates on their official Facebook and X handles regarding the smartphones.
Vivo X100 series: Specifications
It is expected that the Vivo X100 series will retain more or less the global specifications here in India. Based on that, the X100 and X100 Pro will feature 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED displays with 1260p resolution and variable refresh rate ranging from 1Hz to 120Hz. Moreover, the peak brightness will be 3000-nits and has 2,160Hz PWM dimming.
Apart from that, both the phones will feature an in-display fingerprint scanner along with a centrally placed punch hole for 32MP front camera.
Both the phones are IP68 water and dust resistant as well. For performance, the handsets are powered by MediaTek Dimensity 9300 chipset and the X100 comes in two configurations — 12GB+256GB and 16GB+512GB, while the X100 Pro is available in sole storage 16GB+512GB configuration.
The Vivo X100 Pro boasts a bigger 5,400mAh battery compared to the 5,000mAh on the X100.
The X100 Pro boasts a 50MP 1-inch IMX989 sensor, complemented by a 50MP 100mm f/2.5 floating periscope telephoto and a 50MP 15mm ultra-wide camera. This camera setup is Zeiss APO certified and benefits from Vivo’s latest 6nm V3 imaging chip.
On the other hand, the Vivo X100 features a 50MP 1/1.49-inch main camera, accompanied by a 64MP 70mm f/2.6 telephoto camera. It shares the same 50MP 15mm ultra-wide camera as the X100 Pro. The X100 also incorporates a Zeiss lens but utilizes the previous-generation V2 imaging chip.
