AARYA SEASON 3 is the story of a mother. After the events of the second season, Aarya Sareen (Sushmita Sen) decides to rule instead of running away. She attempts to expand the drug business. She gets a contract from Anton (Yury Gubanov) to supply drugs with Rs. 1000 crores. Meanwhile, Suraj Raizada (Indraneil Sengupta) returns to India to avenge the death of his wife Nandini (Charu Shankar). He smartly gets details of the Rs. 1000 crore drugs consignment and attempts to sabotage the deal. At the same time, he also kidnaps Maya (Maya Sarao) and Roop (Shweta Pasricha) to extract information about the disappearance of Nandini. Things get messier for Aarya as her son Veer (Viren Vazirani) is in love with Roop and he feels that her mother is not doing enough to find her partner. If that’s not enough, Aarya comes face-to-face with the vicious Nalini (Ila Arun). What happens next forms the rest of the show.
Web Series Review: Aarya Season 3 (first 4 episodes)
Khushboo Raj and Amit Raj’s story is gripping. Khushboo Raj and Amit Raj’s screenplay is very engaging. The episodes are not too long and have a lot of drama and action. Khushboo Raj and Amit Raj’s dialogues are sharp.
Kapil Sharma, Shraddha Pasi Jairath and Ram Madhvani’s direction is exemplary. After the culmination of Season 2, there was a question in the minds of many about how the makers would take the story forward. Thankfully, the happenings in the third season seem organic and are not forced for the heck of it. A few scenes stand out like the Zamindar Garodiya being forced to sign the papers, Nalini’s entry, the check naka scene, Suraj persuading Maya to come to his house, Aarya and Suraj’s breakdown and how Aarya smartly provides the wrong container number to Suraj.
On the flipside, Disney+ Hotstar has premiered only four episodes for now and it won’t be appreciated by a section of consumers since many prefer to binge the whole season. Secondly, the track of the cop is a bit unconvincing. Lastly, it’s disheartening that the much-loved character of Daulat (Sikandar Kher) doesn’t have much to do yet again, at least in these four episodes.
Speaking of performances, Sushmita Sen seems convincing as she progresses from being a mother on the run to the lioness of the jungle. At the same time, the way she expresses her vulnerable side is heartening. Vikas Kumar (ACP Khan) is terrific as expected. Indraneil Sengupta is quite nice as a ‘good man’ who is forced to turn a baddie. Yury Gubanov hams. Shweta Pasricha, Maya Sarao and Vishwajeet Pradhan (Sampat) lend able support. Viren Vazirani performs ably. Sikandar Kher is great and one wishes he takes centre stage in the last 4 episodes. Ila Arun is praiseworthy, though she hasn’t yet got a chance to shine. Virti Vaghani (Arundhati aka Aaru) is a bit restrained this time. Pratyaksh Panwar (Aditya; Aarya’s youngest child) is fair. Sohaila Kapur (Rajeshwari; Aarya’s mother) is decent. Geetanjali Kulkarni (Inspector Sushila), Tariq Vasudeva (Kedia) and the actors playing Dhruv and Nalini’s son Abhimanyu are passable.
Vishal Khurana’s background score adds to the tension and madness. Kavya Sharma’s cinematography is neat. The locales of Rajasthan are captured beautifully. Anna Ipe’s production design is realistic yet appealing. The same applies to Theia Tekchandaney’s costumes. Manohar Verma’s action is not gory. Khushboo Raj and Abhimanyu Chaudhary’s editing is slick.
On the whole, the first four episodes of AARYA SEASON 3 are nail-biting and will be enjoyed by the fans of the series.
